The 2007 Rally New Zealand tour is over, and we think it our best yet. When we predicted the competition would be close fought, we never expected the closest finish in World Rally Championship history. At the conclusion Marcus Gronholm won by 0.3 seconds from Sebastien Loeb, after having exchanged the lead on nearly every stage on Sunday. Mikko Hirvonen drove a superb event to finish on the podium for the 6th successive event. Fourth was narrowly won by Chris Atkinson in the first Subaru a mere 4.6s ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala in the Ford Focus.
