Repco Rally NZ this year can be remembered for many different things including the increased profile from its new sponsor "Repco" which definitely was responsible for increased corporate interest and spectator numbers in general. Secondly the atrocious weather conditions leading up to the event which necessitated stage modifications at the last minute. The weather gods however smiled on us during the actual running days resulting in lots of dust and loose metal making the first car on the road position, a less favorable one. This resulted in some much discussed team tactics being exercised by the top runners, this having not been seen since Turkey. From Rally Tours perspective, our result was as good as the Citroen win. more . . .
