Our Tours - 2010 Beijing to Paris - Itinerary & Booking
Following a successful expedition in 2007, driving 30 year old classic Cars from Beijing to Paris, in June 2009 Rally Tours NZ Ltd is following the same route in self drive 4X4 vehicles and in July 2010 we will be repeating the 2009 tour in 4X4 vehicles.
This is a trip of lifetime that will take you through countries that have only recently opened up to visitors. The diverse cultures, the ancient history and interesting heritage sites make this an amazing trip through time. You will be travelling with like- minded intrepid travellers who are eager to experience this unknown part of the world. Travelling in your own vehicle on some of the toughest and remotest roads in the world also add to the sense of achievement. This is an adventure you will never forget.
On reflection of the past 10 weeks or so I must say that congratulations must be extended to Greg and the Rally Tours staff and associated people involved with the organization and execution of this massive expedition halfway across the globe and back again without serious accidents or issues to speak of.
Apart from the huge logistics of planning and obtaining all the appropriate documents, permits, insurances, inventory of personal bits and pieces, spares for the vehicles, and safety items to ensure all persons and their trucks returned back to NZ safe in safe well state, it was a huge credit to your organization and a great achievement.
In my opinion this experience was received extremely well across the board by all those who took part in this great expedition and they will have recorded many of the experiences and events by means of photos, videos and just memories that they can share with others for a very long time to come.
It is hard to believe, that it is all over.

Our vehicles are shipped from Auckland to China May 2010.
Tour members depart Auckland 3rd July flying direct to Beijing.
Tour departs Beijing 9th July
Arrival into Paris 19th August

Beijing: Home of the 2008 Olympics. See the Great Wall of China and Tiananmen Square.
Ulaanbaatar:The capital of Mongolia, a welcome rest place after travelling through the vast Gobi Desert for 3 days.
Novosibirsk: A truly colourful city in the middle of Siberia.
Moscow: Red Square, St Basils and a return to modern Russia.
St Petersburg: Formally known as Leningrad.
The Heritage palace, home of the Tsars.
Helsinki: Finland and civilised Europe. A side trip to this beautiful Scandinavian city.
Warsaw: A visit to a war-torn Eastern European city of the past,
Prague: The location of Europe’s largest palace and a city with lots of History.
Paris: Our final destination at the famous Eiffel Tower.

Travel Insurance
It is essential for tour members to take out Travel Insurance,
we recommend Southern Cross or AIG.

Costs
$NZ 25,000 for one person in the same vehicle. Prices quoted are subject to current exchange rates as of 1st April 2009. Rally Tours NZ Ltd reserves the right to alter costs in line with currency fluctuations if required.
