Rally NZ has announced that the 2012 event will take place From 21 June 2012 - 24 June 2012. The rally will be based in Auckland, Rally HQ will be at Auckland Events Centre. The stages will be south on the Friday north on Saturday and just south again on Sunday.

Auckland is the gateway to New Zealand and offers diverse lifestyle opportunities with its variety of culture and leisure activities available to both visitors and residents. We are happy to offer help with other touring arrangements for overseas guests.

The Rally Tours “Gold Tour” program will again be 4 days duration with overseas clients arriving in Auckland on Wednesday the 20th June and staying at selected Rally Tours hotels. This year we are offering two levels of accommodation, both within a very short distance of the harbour-side service park in the newly refurbished Wynyard Quarter. BOOK A TOUR...

Thursday’s activities will be in and around Auckland City. Keep up to date via our newsletters for Thursday’s action.

For the next 3 days we will see 3-4 Rally stages per day including the Ceremonial Finish on the Sunday. Rally Tours works closely with the Rally organisers and in some cases secures exclusive and private viewing spots. In some instances we drive into the stages before the event and follow the sweeper car out after the last car giving you the chance to experience some of our famously unique and interesting NZ roads.

Our transport is in mini coaches each with a qualified driver and Rally Tour guide. Generally we are able park close to the action and only have a very short walk to the stage viewing points. Our international clients that travel to several different WRC rallies tell us that our Rally NZ tour is the best on the WRC circuit for viewing and photographic opportunities. Daily lunches are supplied on all 3 days as are group dinners on Friday and Saturday night.

At this time Rally NZ organizers are excited by the level of 1st class entries already received. Rally NZ 2012 is one of only three WRC rounds this year to feature both SWRC and PWRC competitions as well as the WRC cars. As RNZ also forms an important part of the national championships, top level NZ Rally competitors will fill the entry list.

Rally Tours will offer a day tour option on each of the Rally Days ex Auckland. Spaces on the day tours will be limited and preference will be given to clients purchasing the Gold Tour with the accommodation package.

Based on the Gold Tour Itinerary, Rally Tours can also design packages for tour groups and corporate parties of 8 or more wanting to travel in their own exclusive mini-van or coach.

Following requests from customers Rally Tours will again offer the opportunity to follow a car through the stage by helicopter, after the success of this optional extra in 2010.  Further details available later, and your expressions of interest are welcomed. However, we cannot guarantee Sebastien Loeb will hit a bridge directly in view of our helicopter again!

• Depart very early heading south by coach to Whaanga Coast
• Whaanga Coast - viewing from mid stage point - what a stage!
• Watch the entire field, then follow tail car out through the stage
• Optional Helicopter rides (weather permitting)(see separate schedule)
• Watch end ss5 then move to spectator point in ss8
• Evening flexi service in Auckland

SATURDAY 23rd June KAIPARA/WHANGAREI

• Depart early by coach to the Kaipara/Whangarei area
• Selection of 3 rally stages Mititai/Waipu Gorge/Girls High School
