Our Tours - epay Silver Fern Rally 2012
10th - 17th November - North Island, NZ

The most anticipated Rallytours event of 2012
as of January 10th there are already 48 entries.

Run exclusively in the North Island of New Zealand, the daily schedule is as follows:

• Day 0 Auckland shakedown
• Day 1 Auckland – Rotorua (80 km of short stages for seeding)
• Day 2 Rotorua - Gisborne
• Day 3 Gisborne - Napier
• Day 4 Napier - Fielding
• Day 5 Fielding - Ohakune
• Day 6 Ohakune - Taupo
• Day 7 Taupo - Hamilton

The North Island has a fantastic array of gravel roads, quite different to those used in the South Island in previous epay Silver Fern Rallies. These roads offer a variety of tight, twisty, wide, narrow, fast, slow, up and downhill to help the drivers concentrate. Many of these roads have been used for international rallies in the past, and amongst the most famous is the renowned "Motu" stage (on day 2). Colin McRae still holds the stage record.

Our tour has in the past used comfortable 4wd vehicles which we have plans to use again, as they allow us to spectate from alongside the route in some of the most remote places. Every Silver Fern so far we have towed broken cars out of special stages to rejoin their crew.

The days are long on this trip, but the high quality of the viewing is difficult to exaggerate.

Each of our vehicles is piloted by an experienced psv driver, who also happens to have a long history of involvement with Motorsport in New Zealand. Our close cooperation with the organizers of the epay Silver Fern Rally allow us some extra benefits, and they are brilliant at informing us of any route alterations, so our passengers get to see more. There is a much closer involvement with the rally itself than passengers may be used to - it's more of an adventure than a tour. We try to take you over as many of the rally roads as we can, and try to secure the most spectacular viewing.

If you have a particular interest in a driver or car, we can tailor the tour to suit - so that we do not leave before that vehicle makes it to our viewing spot.

Accommodation is usually in very good hotels, although at some destinations the choice of alternatives is more restricted.
